Hinton Guitar Festival Player info.
August 1st & 2nd, 2008, Red Rock CanyonThings to bring:
- Instruments. (Guitars, Basses, Banjos, saxes, bagpipes, spoons, digeridoos, etc...)
- Amplifiers (If playing an electric instrument).
- Extention Cords & Power strips/surge protector.
- Picks, cords, straps, extra strings
- Music Stands
- Chairs/Stools
- Stage Drums
will be provided. (If there is a certain snare, or cymbal needed for "your sound" bring it). - Fans, Friends, groupies, roadies, talent agents,
- If you are camping, there is a small fee to camp in Red Rock Canyon.
(Guitar Festival campers may be eligible for a discount.)
- No alcohol or drugs.
- Be respectful of other players.
- This is not a competition, please, no attitudes.
- We are not responsible for lost/stolen items.
- Don't say/sing/scream anything into a microphone that your grandma would be ashamed of.
- Pick up after yourself. Please help keep the park clean!
- Sales of artists promotional items are allowed (CDs, stickers, shirts, etc). All other items are prohibited.
- Enjoy yourself.
This festival is for players of all types of music: Rock, Country, Blues, Jazz, Folk,Classical, bluegrass etc. If you would like to perform a solo/group please let one of the organizers know. (The earlier the better. You can email from one of the links.)
Keep artist switchout time to a minimum. Be early, and be ready to run on stage, and off after the set. Sign autographs later. When it is time to exit the stage be courtious to the next act.
Band performance slots and times are given on a first come, first serve basis.( Unless you are Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaugh, or Jerry Garcia. Then we can talk.)
